Sales Assistant - Mosta Shop

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Assistant to join our team at our Mosta Shop. The position is full-time (40 hours per week, including Saturdays). The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, organising merchandise, and maintaining a clean and orderly store. The candidate must be able to speak both Maltese and English fluently and have experience in retail.

Key responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with their purchases, providing product information and recommendations as required.
• Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately.
• Stock shelves, racks, and displays with merchandise, ensuring all products are properly priced.
• Help prepare online orders.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the store.
• Receive, unpack, and price new and re-stocked products.
• Communicate with the Shop Manager and other staff members to ensure that the store is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.

Qualifications and skills:

• The ability to speak fluently in both Maltese and English is a must.
• Prior experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software, and confident on the PC.

Education and Experience:

Relevant work experience in a retail or customer service environment is essential.

School Leaving Certificate. 

Working Hours:

• Mon-Sat 10:00-19:00 (Including 1 day off)
• Sun 10:00-14:00 (Optional)
